Errors and the procedure to solve them

If the heat pump signals any of the critical errors (one of the

rst two digits of the error code is other than

), it is
put out of operation. The following text describes typical causes of these errors and how to eliminate them. If the
application of these procedures is unsuccessful, you must contact a service organization to resolve your issue.

During operation of the heat pump, freezing occurs due to the subcooling of the outdoor units heat exchanger. If the
evaporator freezes, the outdoor unit automatically evaluates this condition and starts the defrosting process. The
frequency of defrosting cycles depends on several factors, the most important being air temperature, air humidity,
and required performance.
During the evaporator defrosting process, the evaporator is heated back by the energy stored in the heating water
while the fans operate at full power to dry the evaporator. During this process, it is possible to observe water
vapour rising from the evaporator which gives the impression that the unit is burning. However, in this case, it is
not a dangerous condition but a normal operating condition and therefore do not disconnect the outdoor unit from
the power supply.

The heat pump’s user interface in the section
gives the listing of last ten occurring defects
states (codes) of the heat pump. Complete operating data are accessible via the heat pump’s web interface.
