ERROR MESSAGES

1. 

Hi - measured temperature too high, outside the measuring range

2. 

Lo - too low a measured temperature, outside the measuring range

3. 

Er1 - operating temperature outside the range 10~40

4. 

ErC - error occurs when data is read or written into the memory or the temperature correction is not completed

5. 

When the battery voltage drops below 2.5V ± 0.1V, the low battery symbol appears in the display. Replace the 

batteries.

6. 

Blank screen:

a. 

The thermometer switches off automatically after a short period of inactivity, this is a deliberate action of the 

device - restart the device by pressing the power/measurement button

b. 

Battery incorrectly installed - ensure battery terminals are facing the correct way

c. 

Batteries flat - replace with new batteries

d. 

Display does not start despite above instructions - contact service

 

06. 

CLEANING AND STORAGE

1. 

Do not touch or press the device sensor.

2. 

To clean the thermometer remove the batteries and then clean the ear-tip with a soft cloth avoiding the temperature 

sensor lens. The lens itself is cleaned with a cotton swab and the casing with a slightly damp, soft cloth. 

3.  Note: 

Keep water away from the lens during the cleaning process. Otherwise, the lens may be damaged. The lens 

may be scratched if cleaned with a hard object, which may cause inaccurate readings. Do not clean the thermometer 

with corrosive cleaning agents. Do not immerse any part of the thermometer in liquid or allow liquid to penetrate the 

thermometer during the cleaning process.

TYPICAL HUMAN BODY TEMPERATURE

 

The human body is a complex biological system and the range of temperature that can be considered ‚normal’ depends in 

large part on what part of the body we measure and on factors such as age, sex, skin colour and skin thickness. Women’s 

body temperature is higher than men’s by about 0.3
