One-Touch Calling
One-Touch Calling, using a Programmable Function Key, allows for one button access to co-workers, out-
side lines and selected UX5000 features. You'll find this a great time saver when calling the clients and co-
workers you talk to most often. Instead of dialing the codes, just press the One-Touch Key.
Your One-Touch Keys give you:
• Direct Station Selection - One button access to your co-worker's extensions.
• Personal Speed Dial (Outside Calling) - One button access to outside lines, line groups and
telephone numbers. (You can also have Personal Speed Dial.)
• Abbreviated Dialing - One button access to Common and Group Abbreviated Dialing bins.
• Service Codes - One button access to Service Codes (e.g., 2 for Callback).
• Chain Dialing - Linking two or more One-Touch Programmable Function Keys for lengthy dialing
scenarios.
For one-touch operation to these functions, define a Programmable Function key. Refer to the
operation on page 100.
Direct Station Selection
To program a Bin for Direct Station Selection (extension) calling:
1. CALL1 + 855 .
2. Dial the bin number (1-9, 0) you want to program.
3. Dial extension number you want assigned to that key + HOLD .
4. Enter the name associated with the bin you are programming (see Name Storing on page 90) + HOLD .
If your terminal is a non-display terminal, simply press HOLD.
5. SPK to hang up.
