TROUBLESHOOTING
Toner Spots • Make sure the paper meets
required specifications.
• A recent paper jam may have
contaminated the paper path.
Run 20 blank sheets of paper
through the printer to help clear
the paper path.
• The Toner Cartridge may be
damaged and need replacing.
Repeating
Marks The paper path may be contaminated.
Open the Top Cover and remove the
Toner Cartridge. Check for loose
pieces of paper jammed in the paper
path. Print several blank sheets of
paper to help clear out the
contamination
Smeared Image • The toner may be unevenly
distributed inside the Toner
Cartridge. Remove the Toner
Cartridge and redistribute the
toner.
• Check the Toner Cartridge for
damage.
Problem Solution
White Streak The Toner Cartridge may be
defective. Remove the cartridge and
check for damage. Replace if it is
worn or has reached the end of its
expected life.
Black Lines
The Toner Cartridge may be
defective. Remove the cartridge and
check for damage. Replace it if it is
worn or has reached the end of its
expected life.
Blank Areas The Toner Cartridge may be
defective. Remove the cartridge and
check for damage. Replace if it is
worn or has reached the end of its
expected life.
