Align the notched corner of the processor with the pin 1 corner of the socket. Insert the processor into the
socket.

Swing the socket lever up to lock the processor in the socket.
Replace the heatsink by positioning the clamp openings over the socket tabs.

Be sure the jumper settings are set correctly for the upgrade processor (see Appendix C).
Replace the power supply.
Reconnect any power supply cables you disconnected.
Secure the power supply with the four screws.
Replace any expansion boards that were removed earlier.
