What is the maximum amount of memory I can install in
the computer?
The maximum amount of memory that you can install
depends on the number of memory sockets on the system
board, as well as the memory size. See “DIMM Upgrade” in
Chapter 5 for guidelines about installing memory in the
computer

Modem Technology?
The x2 technology is new modem technology that allows
users with a U.S. Robotics 56-Kbps modem to download data
at speeds up to 53 Kbps (the FCC regulated limit) and send
data at speeds up to 33.6 Kbps. To use the x2 modem
technology, you need:
1. An Internet Service Provider that provides an x2-capable
server.
2.
A U.S. Robotics x2 capable modem connected to your
computer.
3.
A phone company that provides a phone line route to the
Internet Service Provider with only ONE analog to digital
conversion.
