5-10 Confirmation of APL correction data

* The slide switches SW4012 ~ SW4015 of the jig board shall be set at the lower side (Set at Lo).

(1) Apply PC mode 5 (program No. 35 PC98@60Hz) to the PC/RGB input terminal and select the PC input.

Apply a color bar signal input.

(2) Confirm that a 5Vp-p signal can be seen at each checking terminal, each time the input changeover

button is pushed. (Signals seen at respective terminals involve mutually different periods.)

(3) Check that a 5Vp-p signal can be observed at each check terminal each time the INPUT SELECT key

(SW2002) ispressed. (The signals observed at these terminals vary in period.)

5-11 Detection of fan stop
(1) Pull out the short-plug inserted on the opposite side of “

▲

silk” in JP6550 of ANALOG PWB.

(2) Confirm that LED (green) of CTL PWB flashes at the intervals of 500ms and that the status of remote

control standby (microcomputer only is fed power) is assumed.

(3) Confirm that power ON/OFF is impossible with the remote control keys.
(4) Turn off the main power switch.
(5) Insert a short-plug inserted on the opposite side of “

silk” in JP6550.

(6) Turn on the main power switch.
(7) Confirm that a steady state is recovered as a result of power ON.

5-12 Confirmation of short-circuit test panel crack detection signal

(1) Short the silk side of the jumper pin JP4010 “!!” on the jig board.

(2) Confirm that LED (orange) of CTL PWB flashes at the intervals of 500ms and that the status of remote

control standby is assumed.

(3) Confirm that power ON/OFF is impossible with the remote control keys.
(4) Short the “

silk” side of the jumper pin JP4010 on the jig board.

(5) With the INPUT SELECT key on the CTL PWB depressed, set the main power switch from OFF to ON.
(6) Confirm that a steady state is recovered as a result of power ON.

6. Data writing for plug and play (PnP)

The EDID data are written in IC1004 by the use of an exclusive PnP jig.

6-1 Connection

6-2 Setup

(1) Put a PnP floppy disc in Drive A of the personal computer and start it. Then the work menu for PnP writing

and inspection is displayed in the monitor.

(2) Turn on the power for an exclusive PnP jig.

Now confirm that the jig LED is flashing. If it is not flashing but simply lit, try to reclose the power circuit
again.
