CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

IV. S I/O PWB and AUDIO PWB

1. S I/O

(1) Input interface block

Audio signals are input from M4001 ~ M4003 to IC4001 (MM1250XD; AUDIO SW). These signals are con-
trolled and selected by the I2C BASS control (SDA, SCL) from the microcomputer.
The selected audio signals are level-adjusted (VR4002) at IC4002 (M5223FP: LEVEL ADJ, BUFFER) and
then transferred to IC3001 (CXA2022: BASS TREBLE BALANCE control) through the “SI” connector.

(2) Output interface block

In IC4003 (M5223FP: BUFFER), the audio signal controlled at IC3001 is current-amplified, and the resultant
output is sent from M4004, to be used as a signal for sub woofer.

2. AUDIO PWB

(1) Pre-AMP block

The audio signal input fed from the “SI” connector is processed at IC3001 for the control of BASS (low band
amplification), TREBLE (high band amplification), and BALANCE. The output is generated from IC4003
(M5223FP: BUFFER) through IC3002 (M5223FP: BASS BOOST) at the next stage and the “MS” connector. A
series of such processing is controlled by the I2C BASS control (SDA, SCL) of the microcomputer.

In addition, IC3002 performs BASS BOOST processing (low-band amplification).

(2) AMP block

The audio signal, for which pre-AMP processing has been finished, is power-amplified at IC3003, and then led
to the speaker output circuit through the “SR” and “SL” connectors.
