(1) Apply PC mode 5 (PC98 480@60Hz program No. 35) to the PC/RGB input terminal.
(2) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6115 (SHAPE1) and adjust VR6103 until the Hi period of output pulses
attains about 2.0

(3) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6117 (FBP) and adjust VR6104 until the Hi period of output pulses attains
0.6

(4) Set the PC signal generator program to No. 13 (XGA fh : 56.47KHz).
(5) Assume the auto-adjust mode of mPC1885 by pushing the buttons of the remote control in the order of “PC”

“Sound volume DOWN”

“MUTE”
→
“1”
→
“8”
→

→

(6) Wait until the on-screen display of “mPC1885 ADJ” goes out and a steady state is secured. (About one
minute; auto-adjustment of frequency discrimination)
(7) Check that the video is locked when the signal is set in PC mode 8 (program No. 5 (VGA fh : 37.5KHz; fv :
75Hz)).
(8) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6115 (SHAPE1) and adjust VR6103 until the Hi period of output pulses
attains about 2.00

(9) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6117 (FBP) and adjust VR6104 until the Hi period of output pulses attains
0.60

3. Adjustment of image level (M52327SP)
3-0 Lowpass Filter Level Adjustment
(1) Apply the PC mode 5 (PC98 480@60Hz) 16-gradation greyscale signal to the PC/RGB input terminal.
(2) Select the PC input with either the remote controller or the CTL PWB input selector switch.
(3) Check that [RGB Select] of the [Benri Function] is at [PC].
(4) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6138 (RIN), check the amplitude of the video signals, and adjust VR6110 so that
the video signal amplitude after setting [RGB Select] to [Video] will be about the same as that (approximately
700mVp-p) before changing its position. Then, shift [RGB Select] to [PC] and check that the amplitude is the
same as when [RGB Select] is at [Video].
(5) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6137 (GIN), check the amplitude of the video signals, and adjust VR6111 so that
the video signal amplitude after setting [RGB Select] to [Video] will be about the same as that (approximately
700mVp-p) before changing its position. Then, shift [RGB Select] to [PC] and check that the amplitude is the
same as when [RGB Select] is at [Video].
(6) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6136 (BIN), check the amplitude of the video signals, and adjust VR6109 so
that the video signal amplitude after setting [RGB Select] to [Video] will be about the same as that (approxi-
mately 700mVp-p) before changing its position. Then, shift [RGB Select] to [PC] and check that the ampli-
tude is the same as when [RGB Select] is at [Video].
3-1 Adjustment of HD/DVD level
(1) Apply a HDTV 100% 10-step signal input to the HD/DVD terminal.
(2) Select the HD/DVD input with a remote control or the input changeover switch of CTL PWB.
(3) Assume the setting mode for factory shipment, using a factory shipping adjustment command of the remote
control.
• For adjusting remote control:
Move the MAIN/SUB switch to the “SUB” side and push the “SURROUND” key.
• For ordinary remote control:
Push the keys in the order of “MUTE”

(4) Push the “MENU” key to obtain the “D CONTROL HDTV” screen.
