3-2 Adjustment of video level
(1) Select VIDEO input using either the remote controller or the CTL PWB input selector switch.
(2) Press the “Menu” key to call the main menu on the screen, move the cursor to “Information” and press “OK”.
(3) Move the cursor to Color System, press “OK”, and select “3.58NTSC” using the arrow keys “<” and “>”.
(4) With nothing connected to the VIDEO input terminal, connect a frequency counter to TP9013, and adjust
L9009 till the counter reads 28.6363MHz. Then, change the system to “AUTO” by repeating the steps (1),
(2) and (3).
(5) Apply an NTSC 100% greyscale signal (of 8 steps or more) to the VIDEO input terminal.
(6) Apply the default adjustment command from the remote controller to select default set mode.
(7) Press the “Menu” key to call the “D-CONTROL NTSC” screen.
(8) Press the cursor key “

” of the remote control ler to select “C-BRI”.
(9) Set the level to “+120.”
(10) Press the cursor key “

” of the remote control ler to select “U-COL”.
(11) Adjust the video signal R at TP6130 to 900mVp-p using the arrow keys“<” and “

”.

(12) Push the cursor keys “ ” and “

” of the remote control and select “BRIGHT.”
(13) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6139 (R-OUT) and make adjustments by pushing the cursor keys “<” and “>”
until the pedestal level attains 600mV DC.
(14) Confirm that the pedestal level is maintained at 600mV DC at TP6141 (G-OUT) and TP6140 (B-OUT).
Advance to the next step (15) when 600mV DC is secured.
Advance to “3-4 Adjustment of sub-brightness” if 600mV DC is not secured.
(15) Select “CONT” by pushing the cursor keys “ ” and “
∨
” of the remote control.
(16) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6139 (R-OUT) and make adjustments by pushing the cursor keys “<” and “>”
until the amplitude of the image part attains 1.80Vp-p.
(17) Confirm that the amplitude of the image part is maintained at 1.80Vp-p at TP6141 (G-OUT) and TP6140 (B-
OUT). Advance to the next step (18) when 1.80Vp-p is secured. Advance to “3-5 Adjustment of sub-con-
trast” if 1.80Vp-p is not secured.
(18) Set the input signal for standard color bar.
(19) Connect an oscilloscope to TP6140 (B-OUT).
(20) Push the cursor keys “ ” and “
∨
” and select “COLOR” or ‘TINT.”
(21) Push the cursor keys “<” and “>” and make adjustments until the waveform as shown in Fig. 3-1-2 appears
in the oscilloscope.
Adjust the blue level to 1.2Vp-p as shown in Fig. 3-1-2.
