Step 2 Installing N8154-24 in Server
When installing in the T120b-M
Installation (First 2.5-inch disk Cage)
1.
Exit from all the application programs and shutdown the system.
2.
Turn off the power of the server and disconnect all the power cords from the receptacles.
3.
Remove the side cover from the server following the User’s Guide of the server.
4.
Disconnect all the cables from the rear of 3.5-inch disk cage that has been installed in the server.
Notice
To disconnect SGPIO cable or SAS/SATA cable, hold the connector, unlock it, then pull it out.
Pulling the cable while holding the cord harness may cause damage to the connector.
5.
Remove the four fixing screws from the two blank covers, and then remove the covers.
If a 3.5-inch disk cage is installed, remove its four fixing screws, and then remove the cage.
Notice
Store the removed blank covers in a safe place.
Note that the removed screws are used in step 17 to attach the blank covers, so do not lose them.
It is not possible to install a 3.5-inch disk cage and 2.5-inch disk cage at the same time.
