Indication for the Status LED 

The drive status is notified by Status LED 

 

 

 

Status LED (color)

 

Condition of 

Status Light

 

Meaning

 

Solid 

The LTO can be used.

 

Unlit

 

The LTO is powered off. 

Flashing  (same 
interval) 

The LTO is used. 

Ready (green) 

Flashing  (repeat 
of twice flashing) 

The  Cartridge  is  eject  preparation  completed 
status.  Press  the 

Eject

  button,  then  the 

cartridge will be ejected. 

Unlit

 

No error.

 

Drive (amber) 

Flashing 

Hardware error is detected in the drive. 

Unlit

 

No error.

 

Tape (amber) 

Flashing 
 

A  tape  inserted  into  the  drive  may  have  a 
defect. Use another tape. 

Solid 

The cleaning cartridge is used. 

Unlit

 

Cleaning is not required. 

Clean Cartridge (amber) 

Flashing

 

The  drive  must be cleaned.  Refer  to

 

the page 

25 and clean the drive.
