Chapter 1 Maintenance 
 

Clearing a password 

1.  Refer to "

Getting Started

"

 

provided with this server or 

Chapter 2 (1. Installing Internal Optional Devices) 

in "

User’s Guide

"

 

to remove server module. 

2.  Confirm the position of Clear Password Jumper. 

3.  Change jumper swtich settings. 

4.  Install the component you have removed in earlier step, and press the POWER switch. 

5.  POST halts with the following error message. 

ERROR 
8007:SETUP Menu Password cleared by Jumper. 
Press<F1> to resume, <F2> to Setup

 

6.  Your password has been cleared. To set new password, press <F2> key to start BIOS Setup Utility and 

then change the password. Next, execute [Save Changes and Exit]. 

7.  Turn off the power and return the jumper switch to its original position by following steps 1 and 2. 

8.  Install the component you have removed in earlier step.
