3-2 Windows Setup and Operation
DISK OPERATIONS
NEC Express5800/ft series duplicates disks to secure data by using “Disk Management” or the
“Rapid Disk Resync (RDR) function”. This section describes operations such as configuration of
dual settings to disks and replacement of disks.
IMPORTANT:
On the disks containing the OS, it is recommended to create only the system partition. To create a
partition other than a system partition on the disk with the OS, note the following:
If you reinstall the OS, the entire disk will be cleared. If there is any data partition other than the
system partition, the data must be backed up before reinstalling the OS.
Operations differ depending on the model of NEC Express5800/ft series. Choose the suitable
procedure:
・
Models that do not support the RDR (Rapid Disk Resync) function:
Go to “Disks Operations Using Disk Management” (page 3-3).
・
Models that support the RDR (Rapid Disk Resync) function:
Skip to “Disk Operations Using the RDR (Rapid Disk Resync) Function” (page 3-15).
