NOTE:

It is not recommended that guest OS uses the optical disk drive on the ESX host during
operation. When an optical disk drive is used during the system operation, the product may
not work properly. If an optical disk drive is used, remove the mounted / allocating optical
disk drive and reboot the system.
Check the configuration of the virtual machine from VI client.

If [Host Device] in [Device Type] is selected in CD device settings, untick the following
checkboxes in [Device Status]:
