Pressing and holding the “Enter” button causes the unit to continuously transmit the
selected Alarm ID. This function is a useful tool for radio range testing as it allows the
installer to easily test that the unit transmits reliably to all areas of a property.
The unit also has the capability to analyze the serviceability, calibration and operation of
the molded capacitive sensing pod and mat. A numerical value displayed in the bottom
left hand corner of the test menu indicates the strength of the applied capacitance to the
mat which will vary dependent on the material used between the body
and the mat. A
reading of “0” can indicate that a mat has been soiled with moisture or is in direct contact
with human skin. Note: This facility is not available unless an intelligent sensing pod is
plugged into the RJ12 (LH Socket).
The test mode overrides the monitoring of alarms and ignores any input settings. Normal
monitoring resumes on selection of “Exit” or automatically approximately 1 minute after
last button selection.
Whilst in “Test Mode” selection of the “Mute” key for approximately 2 Seconds brings up
the keypad, screen, and watch dog timer built in test facility. This test facility allows the
installer to confirm operation of the following functions and components:

The membrane keypad.
•
LCD Display. (Pixel operation).
•
Watchdog timer reset function.
Navigation through the “Built in Test” facility is carried out using the Mute key. Simply
follow the on screen prompts as desired.
