Useful functions

Deleting a route profile

1. Tap

on

Options > Settings.

If the map is open in

Standard

mode, tap on Options > General >

Settings.

2. Tap on the

(Current Route Profile) button. This button can also

show a different symbol.

3. Tap on the name of the route profile which you want to delete.
4. Tap

on

Options > Delete.

5. A dialog window prompts you to confirm deletion.
6. Tap

on

Yes.

Note:

Basic profiles cannot be deleted.

8.2

E-Compass

The

NAVIGON 25xx

is equipped with an electronic compass which is

available during navigation in

Pedestrian

mode.

Thanks to the electronic compass it is possible for the navigation device
to recognise the direction of movement even with very slow
movements. It is not dependent on calculating the direction of
movement from the GPS data.
Another benefit of the electronic compass is that the navigation map
can always be orientated so that it shows the terrain lying in front of
you. When you turn, the visible map section changes accordingly.

8.2.1

Status of the electronic compass

The

E-Compass

symbol can be seen only during navigation in

pedestrian mode. It can indicate the following states of the electronic
compass:

E-compass OK

(in grey): The electronic compass is optimally

calibrated.

Calibration recommended

(in yellow): The electronic compass should

be calibrated in order to ensure optimal operation.

Calibration necessary

(in red): The electronic compass is not

calibrated and is severely limited in its operation.
