Troubleshooting

If your stove has trouble, examine the control panel to determine the status. When the sensors detect an abnormal

temperature condition (below 125

˚F or over 200˚F), the control panel will shut off the auger motor automatically to

prevent the pellets from piling up or overheating the system. After solving a problem, restart the unit. Servicing should

only be done by a qualified technician.

Problem

Reason

Solution

1. No power on control panel,

All lights are off.

No 115V power, rear switch is

off, fuse is blown in power

distributor box or rear switch

or control panel has failed

Make sure cord is plugged in securely, make sure

rear switch is on, check power to the outlet, replace

rear switch fuse of power distributor fuse, or replace

control panel

2. Stove shuts down after

igniting, no feed after igniting,

Low temp alarm.

Feed unit is blocked,
Auger motor doesn’t work,

Lid switch open,

Vacuum switch open,

Stove plugged with ash

Remove motor and auger, clean.

Wires are loose, auger set screw is loose.

Close hopper lid, replace switch.

Make sure tube is on P2 port, replace switch.

Perform monthly cleaning procedure.

3. High Temp Alarm.

High temperature sensor
(200˚F/92˚C) tripped.

Allow unit to shutdown properly and cool. Check to

make sure all components and venting is ok.

Perform monthly cleaning procedure.

4. Stove fails to ignite or

igniter stays on too long

(3-15min).

No pellets in hopper, pellet

size is too little.

Burn pot not seated.

The exhaust temp sensor
(125˚F/52˚C) has failed or

connection wires are loose.

Fill hopper.

Use proper pellets.

Properly seat burn pot.

Check wire connections or replace switch.

5. Orange and lazy fire,

pellets piled in burn pot,

carbon on the glass.

Lack of intake air for burning.    Clean the area inside the burn pot frame.

Adjust air intake damper.

Ensure door and window glass gaskets are sealed.

Check if the air intake pipe and venting pipe are

blocked, clean if needed.

Perform monthly cleaning procedure.

7. Stove not producing

enough heat.

Poor quality fuel.

Stove is dirty.

Use proper pellets.

Perform monthly cleaning procedure.

8. Ash and smoke are in the

room.

Leak between the connection

of convection motor and

venting pipe.

Use high temp silicon to seal piping.
