Use this item to specify if the SATA port specified by the user should be connected to a
Solid State drive or a Hard Disk Drive. The options are
Hard Disk Drive
and
Solid State Drive

sSATA Configuration
When this submenu is selected, the AMI BIOS automatically detects the presence of the SATA
devices that are supported by the SCU controller and displays the following items:
sSATA Controller
This item enables or disables the onboard SATA controller supported by the Intel SCU chip.
The options are
Enabled
and
Disabled
.
Configure sSATA as
Select
IDE
to configure an sSATA drive specified by the user as an IDE drive. Select
AHCI
to
configure an sSATA drive specified by the user as an AHCI drive. Select
RAID
to configure an
sSATA drive specified by the user as a RAID drive. The options are
IDE, AHCI,
and
RAID
.
If the item above "Configure sSATA as" is set to AHCI, the following items will display:
Support Aggressive Link Power Management
When this item is set to
Enabled
, the sSATA AHCI controller manages the power usage of the
sSATA link. The controller will put the link in a low power mode during extended periods of
I/O inactivity, and will return the link to an active state when I/O activity resumes. The options
are

.

On an edge detect from 0 to 1, set this item to allow the PCH to start a COMRE- SET
