DIP SWITCH OPTIONS

FaxSwitch 2

is a sophisticated Line Sharing device which is designed

to provide you with the ultimate in flexibility, in order to meet a wide range
of customer applications.

Four Dip Switches are located on the underside of the device, which allow
you to individually configure your

FaxSwitch 2

solution.

The function of each Dip Switch is described in detail elsewhere in this
User Guide. A summary of the functions of each switch are listed below :

Dip Switch 1 is used to select between TRADITIONAL and VOICE
PRIORITY Faxswitch operation. See pages 5-7 for further detail.

Dip Switch 1 if set to ON, selects VOICE PRIORITY Faxswitch operation

Dip Switch 1 if set to OFF, selects TRADITIONAL Faxswitch operation

Dip Switch 2 is used when your Fax Device will not Dial Out. See
page 19 for further detail.

Dip Switch 2 if set to ON, configures

FaxSwitch 2

to overcome this

problem

Dip Switch 2 if set to OFF, selects normal operation

Dip Switch 3 is used when you use CallerID on your telephone line.
See page 17 for further detail.

Dip Switch 3 if set to ON, allows CallerID operation. Dip Switch 3 if set to
OFF, selects normal operation

Dip Switch 4 is used when you require you Fax Device to answer
calls after 8 rings. See page 7 for further detail.

Dip Switch 4 if set to ON, allows your Fax Device to Answer after 8 rings
Dip Switch 4 if set to OFF, selects normal operation
