OPERATION WITH ADSL 

FAX SWITCH 2 is compatible with the use of ADSL on the same 

telephone line, PROVIDING you use a HIGH QUALITY ADSL FILTER. 

To avoid Fax Detection problems, it is ESSENTIAL to fit a SINGLE High 

Quality ADSL filter immediately ahead of FAX SWITCH 2. 

If you use ADSL2 or ADSL2+, you MUST ensure that your filter is suitable 

for whichever service type you use. ADSL filters cannot be used for the 

newer ADSL2 or ADSL2+ services. ADSL2 filters cannot be used for the 

newer ADSL2+ service. 

Failure to do so, or use of additional ADSL filters connected direct to your 

telephones, WILL cause problems in the operation of your FAX SWITCH 

2 and ADSL service. 

Please Note - Most ADSL FILTERS, designed for separate connection to 

each telephone on your line (as usually supplied with ADSL modems) are 

not suitable. 

We strongly recommend use of the High Quality C10 brand ADSL 

FILTER (model C10245E), as they provide the high efficiency filtering 

required to detect CNG Fax Tones.  Further information on the C10245E
