3.0 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Installation and service must be performed by a qualifi ed technician.
2. Install this furnace in accordance with local codes & regulations.
3. Do not attempt to install this furnace by yourself. You will be putting your health & others in danger.
4. Not approved for installation in a mobile home.
5. This furnace is designed and manufactured to minimize possible installation errors but, please follow the
installation instructions.

No guarantee is made regarding heating capacity of this furnace. Heating
performance and area this furnace will heat depend upon a number of factors such as general condition of
the building, quality & amount of insulation, heat loss of building, amount of oncoming wind, location of
furnace & etc.
7. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for improper installation.
8. Always install this furnace with adequate supply air.
9. We recommend the fl oor surface to be concrete or tile (an area of approximately 7’ by 7’). This will provide
an ample space for installation and room to move around the furnace. Do not install on fl oor surfaces
covered with PVC coating or rug, & carpet.
10. Install this furnace with safe clearances to combustible surfaces as indicated below.
11. Connect this furnace to an independent class “L” chimney at least 6” in diameter, see “CHIMNEY
CONFIGURATIONS” section.
12. The chimney and the fl ue pipe must be clean and in good condition.
13. If fans are used in the fuel storage area, they should be installed so as not to create negative pressures in
the room where the solid-fuel-burning appliance is located.
14. Please keep environment of furnace clean and free of dust to expand life span of fans and receive high
performance.
15. Do not allow anyone to operate who is not familiar with its operation.
16. Do not operate the furnace with doors open. Keep all doors closed & maintain all seals in good condition.
17. Doors & heat exchanger surfaces, fl ue gas is hot when furnace is running. Do not touch with bare hands.
18. Never stack or pile combustible materials against the furnace.
19. Never use or dispose fl ammable liquids such as gasoline, gasoline-type lantern fuel, kerosene, charcoal
lighter fl uid, or similar liquids to start or ‘freshen up’ a fi re in this furnace. Keep all such liquids well away
from the furnace while it is in use, never store them near furnace.
20. Always use smoke or ionization detector in your room.
21. This furnace is hot while in operation. Contact may cause skin burns. Keep children, clothing and furniture
away.
22. Do not allow children to play near furnace.
23. Use specifi ed fuels only (see next page). Corn or wood pellet, nothing else.
24. Never burn garbage or fl ammable fl uids such as gasoline, naphtha or engine oil.
25. This is a digitally controlled automatic fuel-feeding furnace. Never add fuel (pellets or corn) to fi re by hand
when furnace is running. You may cause a dangerous smoke.
26. Never handle fi re pot by bare hands unless you are %100 sure that is completely cooled down. Use of
heat resistant gloves always recommended.
27. Repairs should only be done by qualifi ed service technicians.
28. After fi red up, both front doors should be closed tightly.
29. Establish a routine for the storage of fuel, care of appliance and fi ring techniques.

UNITED STATES), OR WITH THE CURRENT CSA C22.1 CANADIAN ELECTRIC CODE (IN CANADA).
