8.31. Mechanism of angle adjustment of the seat, so called cradle

Mechanism of the so-cradle is located on the rehab buggy frame
(see Fig.8.31).
It consists of:
a) actuating handle
(see Fig.8.31, no. 8)
b) right lock (pin mechanism under handle)
(see Fig.8.31, no. 6)
c) right comb
(see Fig.8.31, no. 7)
d) left lock (pin mechanism opposite right lock)
(see Fig.8.31, no. 4)
e) left comb
(see Fig.8.31, no. 3)
f) two hooks for the frame for seat attachment (see Fig.8.31, no.9)
g) frame reinforcing elements (see Fig.8.31, no. 1, 2, 5 and 10)
The cradle serves to change the angle of the seat inclination with
the backrest. It can be used in four positions, tilting the back seat
by 0°, 10°, 20° and 30°, both when the seat is mounted to the
front as well as the rear to the direction of travel.
8.32. Angular adjustment of the seat
8.32.1 Angular adjustment of seat with a mounted seat
To change the seat tilting angle, follow the steps listed below in the given sequence:
a) activate the central brake so that the rehab buggy is stable and immobilized (see Fig.8.32.-A)
b) pull the actuator handle in the cradle mechanism away from the rehab buggy (see Fig.8.32.-B)
c) and at the same time holding the backrest, slowly change the angle of inclination, tilting the seat to one of the four
positions (see Fig.8.32.-C)
d) then push the actuator handle towards the rehab buggy until it is in the starting position (see Fig.8.32.-D)
e) when changing the tilt angle of the seat, make sure that the pins of both lockers penetrate deeply into both combs
(right and left of the cradle mechanism) (see Fig.8.32.-E and Fig.8.32.-F)
8.32.2 Angular adjustment of the seat without an assembled seat
If the seat inclination angle was set to a position other than 0°, while the seat was disassembled from the rehab buggy
frame, then before attaching the seat to the rehab buggy frame once again, you must first set the hooks of the frame
themselves to mount the seat to position 0°.
To change the inclination angle of the hooks from the frame to the seat attachment, perform the following steps in
the order indicated:
a) Activate the central brake so that the rehab buggy is stable and immobilized
b) pull the actuator handle in the cradle mechanism away from the rehab buggy
c) At the same time, by holding the hooks of the seat mounting frame, slowly change the angle of their inclination by
tilting the hooks to a 0° position, i.e. the hooks are set parallel to the ground
d) then push the actuator handle towards the rehab buggy until it is in the starting position
e) when changing the tilt angle of the hooks of the seat mounting frame, make sure that the pins of both lockers
penetrate deeply into both combs (right and left of the cradle mechanism)
