Release Notes
bulletin covers about the latest release of the
MAE466, includes three new PAL chips and a new Con-
figuration Utility, offering increased compatibility with add-in boards.
BIOS Notes (v 2.0
and
1) The Phoenix BIOS not operate property with the Con-

Anal note: Different verslons of the Phoenix BIOS
may
produce dif-
ferent results on the Landmark SPEED test the low speed mode of
the MAE466. The Revision 1.04 and earlier versions resulted a
rating, while 2.0 results a 50 rating. Other
benchmarks may be affected.
Double on VGA boards
The
POST routine on Phoenix BIOS Version 2.0 and prior reset
VGA boards This feature was added when was dis-
covered that some popular VGA BIOS routines would cause the
system to come up monochrome mode on a 466 unless this
was done. Seven has released a new VGA BIOS that does not
require a double reset on a 466. However, this feature is still
required for other popular VGA boards, be kept in future
revisions.
ISA Bus Master
Cards
Some older ISA bus master products do not check the Channel
Ready signal (CHRDY) and are, therefore, not compatible with
