For the set the system board jump-
ers to reflect the current amount of on-board
memory, shown in Table 4-l. (The MBE486
does not require user jumpers to be
changed for different memory configurations).
Turn on the system.
The Power On Self Test (POST) should report
the correct amount of memory. (If the POST
does not show the correct amount of on-board
memory for the MAE466 system board, check
the switch settings in Table 3-l.)
Run the SETUP utility (refer to the manual
that accompanied the BIOS). You must run
SETUP any time you add RAM either on
the MAE486 or MBE486 system board or with
a peripheral board. This utility stores configu-
ration information in the system board’s
CMOS RAM.
