1. GENERAL USER INFORMATION
Radio Reception
Your pager has been designed to give optimum performance
within the coverage area of the transmitting system.
As with any radio system there may be areas of
poor coverage, where reception may be sporadic, or
non-existent. If necessary, consult your system
administrator in order to familiarise yourself with these areas.
Hazardous Areas - Europe
Your RPR 750IS Series pager, is suitable for use in hazardous
area Zones ‘0’, ‘1’ & ‘2’ (Gas) and ‘20’, ‘21’ & ‘22’
(Non-
conductive Dust only)
, as defined in IEC/CENELEC
technical standard EN 60079-10. Certification has been
granted under the EU ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, to the
standards EN 60079-0, EN 60079-11, EN 61241-0 & EN
61241-11. (See pages 5-7 for further detail).
DO NOT USE RE-CHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN
A DISPOSABLE BATTERY VARIANT PAGER,
AS THIS WILL INVALIDATE THE INTRINSIC
SAFETY CERTIFICATION!
WARNING: DO NOT CHANGE BATTERIES, OR
ATTEMPT SERVICING IN A HAZARDOUS AREA.
DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE SERVICING.
The substitution of components may impair Intrinsic
Safety. Do not attempt to open or repair the product, as it
contains delicate components and requires specialised
test equipment.
Any re-programming or repair must only
be done by an approved service centre and/or personnel.
