14. BATTERIES - Changing the Battery & Battery Care

This product has been certified for use only with the
following batteries, the use of any other battery type will
invalidate the equipment's Intrinsic Safety status.

Alkaline disposable:-
Energizer E92 & Energizer Industrial EN92 (AAA)
Varta 4003 Alkaline; Varta Maxi Tech 4703 (AAA)
Power One 4103 (AAA)

NiMH rechargeable:-
Enix NX Ready

It should be noted that battery life expectancy may vary with
the battery type (especially the re-chargeable options) and the
amount of system traffic. In order to maximise battery life,
cancel any alerts as soon as possible and switch-off your
pager when not in use. If your pager is not to be used for a
long period, it is recommended that the battery be removed.

NOTE:

Any stored messages will be retained by the pager for

approximately 12 hours after the battery is removed, or the
pager is turned off.

To change the battery, ensure that the pager is switched off
and proceed as
follows: -

DO NOT OPEN
THE BATTERY
DOOR, WITHOUT
FIRST REMOVING
THE CLIP!

Hold the pager in
one hand, with the front facing downwards.
