Gate Array IC105 is responsible for the following functions:

Detects operation of the Cancel button and passes the data to microprocessor
IC101.

Resets IC101 under various conditions.

Pre-conditions incoming data (detects preamble, etc.).

Controls the Battery Economy Circuit (BEC) line.

Generates the beep drive waveform.

Drives the Alert LED D101 (D101 is also driven at reduced brightness via TR116
when the unit is on charge).
