7.15.5 Charge-air coolant pump – Relief bore check
DANGER
Rotating and moving engine parts.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in!
• Only run the engine at low power. Keep away from the engine's danger zone.
WARNING
High level of engine noise when the engine is running.
Risk of damage to hearing!
• Wear ear protectors.
Charge-air coolant pump – Relief
bore check
1.
Check relief bore for oil and coolant dis-
charge.
2.
Stop engine (→ Page 34) and secure
against being restarted, observe general
“Maintenance and Repair” safety instruc-
tions.
3.
Clean relief bore with a wire if it is dirty.
• Permissible coolant discharge: up to 10
drops per hour;
• Permissible oil discharge: up to 5 drops
per hour.
4.
If discharge exceeds the specified limits:
Contact Service.
