Port Interface
The Port interface defines a broadcast domain for non-IP traffic
(e.g. IPX, Decnet). The method of configuring is shown below.

To configure a port interface:

From the enable mode, enter the
configure terminal
command to begin configuration.

Type
interface
ethernet
, and then enter the interface name.
Type
port
, and then enter the port range and the symbolic
interface name.
OS2400(config)#
interface
ethernet
ifname
port
port range
symbolic name
The following command line is displayed, indicating that you are in
Interface Configuration mode:
OS2400 (config if)#

Type
exit
to return to the previous mode.

Type
write file
to save the configuration changes to the
configuration files.
The following example displays a port interface:
OS2400(config)# interface ethernet 194.90.137.254 port 2.1-7.1 R&D
