Using your trimmer for cutting lawn edges (Picture 9)
For cutting lawn and fl ower bed edges, the trimmer can be adjusted
in the following manner: Set the cutting head angle to the lowest position.
Turn the upper handle by 90°.
Replacing the string coil
Warning! Prior to replacing the coil, make sure the plug is
disconnected from the outlet!
1. Press the side pointers on the coil cover as shown on the picture and remove the
cover (Picture 10a).
2. Remove the empty coil.
3. Thread the ends of the string through the eyes in the coil cover (Picture 10b) and
let it stick out by about 10 cm.
4. Insert the coil with the string back and click it in to the correct position.
5. Upon starting the trimmer, the string is automatically cut to the correct length.
Warning! The cut pieces of the string could fl y out and cause an injury.
