“The selected phone model is not supported”, even though the phone I am reading
is supported by CompanionPro.
A) This may mean that your carrier.ini file has been corrupted. You can replace the
corrupted carrier.ini file by reinstalling the software. Simply run the setup program
from the Installation and select the Reinstall option.
Q) My phone is not listed in the Model Type list.
A) This may mean that your carrier.ini file has been corrupted, or that you may
need to get an updated one from your service provider. Reinstall CompanionPro,
and if your phone model is still not listed, contact your service provider to see if
your phone is supported.
Q) If I try to view the details of a unit, I get the following message:
“In order to view the details of a unit, you must first select a saved unit. To save a
unit after entering its information, click on an empty row.”
A) This is because the information you have entered has not yet been saved to the
iDEN CompanionPro file. In order to save the unit information, you must click on
a different row for the changes for that unit to be saved. Try clicking on another
row and then select the unit you wish to view the details for and click the desired
button on the Inside Unit Toolbar.
Q) My modem is not listed in the Modem Selection dialog box.
A) Make sure your modem is installed correctly under Windows. To see which
modems are installed, check in the control panel. Refer to your Windows manual
or modem documentation to learn how to install your modem and dial up
networking.
Q) Which phone models does CompanionPro support?
A) Click the Drop Down list, located under the Model column, in the Units tab of
the Phone Center.
