Assembling the connecting rod

•

Before installation, pay attention to ref-

erence marks and mounting direction.

•

Reassemble the connecting rods on

the connecting rod pin in the crankshaft

seat and tighten the screws to the pre-

scribed torque.

CONNECTING ROD SHIMS CHECK

Check that the mounting clearance between con-

necting rod shims and crankshaft shoulders is

within the specified values: 0.265 - 0.515 mm

(0.0104 - 0.0203 in).

Refitting the crankcase halves

•

Insert the tappets after lubricating them

properly.
