Installing the phonic wheel

•

Tone wheel position is dictated by the

pin on the camshaft.

•

Position the tone wheel making sure it

locates correctly on the camshaft (see

slot) and tighten to the prescribed tor-

que using a torque wrench.

Cam timing

•

Bring the piston of the left cylinder to

top dead centre making sure that the

reference mark on the crankshaft gear

is up on the perpendicular axis.
