Section 6: User Interface
The mCore has a web-based UI (User Interface) for configuring the unit that can be
accessed using a web browser. Your mCore User Interface can be accessed via an
Ethernet connection. There are two methods for accessing the User Interface for the
mCore over an Ethernet connection; one uses a static IP (default configuration) and
another that uses DHCP (modified configuration).
Default Configuration:
By default your mCore is set for Ethernet 1 to use Static IP,
follow the default configuration steps in section 6.1 to access the User Inteface.
Modified Configuration:
If, your mCore is configured for Ethernet 1 to use DHCP, use
the Modified Configuration steps in section 6.1 to access the User Interface.
On the bottom of the mCore will be a sticker with useful information and a QR code.
The label will contain the following:
Serial Number
MAC-1 Address
MAC-2 Address
Username
Password
Special Note about Saving Changes:
STORE CHANGES
:
When making modifications to the User Interface, there are two steps to
saving changes. On each page or tab, there is a STORE CHANGES button. This button just
saves the changes to the User Interface and are NOT sent to the System level. If you do not
click on STORE CHANGES before leaving each page or tab, your changes will be lost.
Commit All Changes:
In order to send User Interface changes to the system level, you must
use the Commit All Changes on the left-hand menu. When you click on this button, you will be
given an opportunity to review any network changes you have made and choose whether to
implement these network changes during the commit. You may be working on an offline unit
that you do not want to implement these changes. If you do commit these network changes,
you may need to make changes to your computer to reach the unit after the commit.
