Micro Soft Excel Macro 

 

Once the Money Controls Docking Station System Host Software has placed data into the Docking System 
database, it can be accessed and analyzed by many means. Money Controls has created a Microsoft Excel 
spreadsheet macro to access and analyze the stored data. 

 

Selecting the C:\Ardac\Ardac.XLS file from the Windows95 Start Menu activates the Excel program and 
the ARDAC macro. 
 
1. When the macro starts, the operator is prompted for the year and date to be analyzed. To analyze 

the data collected on September 23, 1997, for example, the operator responds to the prompts: 

 

Input Directory Year: 1997 
Input Directory Day: 0923 

 
2. The macro reads all of the files in the C:\Ardac\1997\0923 directory into the Excel spreadsheet. 

Then it generates three reports for the day specified. These reports are displayed on the monitor 
and automatically saved to C:\Ardac\REPORTS\0923.XLS 
 
a. The Report Worksheet provides analysis of the Drop for the day 
 
b. The Diagnostic Worksheet provides analysis of diagnostic data (number of  rejects, jams,  

etc.) 

 
c. The Raw Data Worksheet provides the complete set of raw data in hex format (used for 

software analysis)
