– if the distance between the wireless microphone
and the active speaker system is too long or if
there are obstacles in the transmission path
which may screen the radio signal.
7) After operation, switch off the active speaker sys -
tem with the POWER switch (1). To switch off the
wireless microphone, set the switch (27) to OFF.
Note:
If the active speaker system is operated via
the 230 V mains, it will even have a low
power consumption when it is switched off. To
save energy, disconnect the mains plug from
the mains socket if the unit is not used for a
longer period.
7
Charging Batteries
The active speaker system allows to charge a 9 V bat-
tery (6F22) and up to two 1.2 V batteries of size AA.
Batteries can only be charged in case of mains oper -
ation of the active speaker system.
1) Remove the cover plate on the rear side of the unit.
2) To charge a 9 V battery, connect the poles of the
battery to the snap-on contacts (19), and insert the
battery into the compartment (16) on the right.
To charge batteries of size AA, insert the bat -
teries into the compartment (13) on the left.
Observe the correct position of the positive and
negative poles (
→
imprint in the compartment). It is
also possible to charge a single battery: insert the
battery into the left or right side of the compartment.
Note:
Each charging compartment is equipped
with a fabric ribbon. When inserting a battery
into a compartment, make sure that the rib-
bon is underneath the battery and that the
end of the ribbon is outside the compart-
ment. This will make it easy to remove the
battery later by pulling the end of the ribbon.
3) Replace the cover plate and switch on the active
speaker system with the POWER switch (1). The
unit can still be used for PA applications while bat-
teries are being charged.
4) During charging, the corresponding charging LED
will light up:
LEDs “AA Size Recharge” (14)
for the left (L) and right (R) battery of size AA
LED “6F22 Recharge” (15)
for the 9 V battery
5) When the corresponding charging LED is extin
-
guished, charging is completed. Remove the cover
plate and take out the battery/batteries.
