if the distance between the transmitter and the
receiver is too far or if there are obstacles in the
transmission path which may shield the radio
signal.

if the reception can be improved by turning the
antennas.

Note:

If the power of the radio signal falls below a defined

threshold value, the receiver will be muted. This will pre-
vent noise on the receiver in case of interference with
reception or when switching off the transmitter. In this
case, the display will show MUTE (d). The muting will be
deactivated as soon as the unit receives a radio signal of
sufficient power again.

5) Speak/ sing into the microphone of the transmitter.

The volume level of the audio signal received will
be displayed via the bar graph AF (g) and the indi-
cation PEAK (f): The more segments of the bar
graph AF are displayed, the higher the level. PEAK
should only shortly be displayed with signal peaks.
If PEAK is constantly displayed, the level is too high
and distortions will occur.

Adjust the transmitter to an optimum volume

via the bar graph AF and the indication PEAK

instruction manual of the transmitter.

6) Match the output level of the receiver via the vol-

ume control VOL (2) to the input of the following
unit. When the XLR audio output is used, it will be
possible to attenuate the level by 20 dB with the
toggle switch OUTPUT LEVEL (9) if it is still too
high when the volume is low.

7) The receiver can be locked to prevent accidental

modification of the transmission frequency or
switching off

chapter 6.1.3.

8) To switch off the receiver, set the power switch (8)

to OFF. If the receiver is not used for a longer
period, disconnect the power supply unit from the
mains as it will have a low power consumption even
with the receiver switched off.

6.1 Adjusting the receiver

6.1.1 Transmission frequency (group and channel)

The transmission frequency is adjusted by selecting
the channel group and the channel. The unit offers
64 preset channels assigned to four channel groups
( ,  ,  ,  ) [16 channels per group]

table in chap-

ter 7.1.

1) Keep the button SET (6) pressed for approx. 2 sec-

onds until the letter “G” (“group”) starts flashing on the
display. The group adjusting mode will be activated.

Note:

To exit the adjusting mode without making an

adjustment, press the button SET repeatedly until the
display shows

(“cancel”). The unit will then return to

normal operation.

2) Select the group with the button “down”

(5) or the

button “up”

(7).

3) Confirm the selection with the button SET. The let-

ters “CH” (“channel”) will flash on the display. The
channel adjusting mode will be activated.

4) Select the channel with the button “down”

or the

button “up”

.

5) Confirm the selection with the button SET.

(“store”) will be shortly displayed and the unit will go
to normal operation.

6.1.2 Identification number

To set the transmitter via the REMOSET function to
the transmission frequency of the receiver (

chapter

6.2), the same identification number must be assigned
to both units.

1) Keep the button SET (6) pressed for approx. 2 sec-

onds to call the group adjusting mode (“G” will flash
on the display).

2) In the group adjusting mode, press the button SET

twice to go to the adjusting mode for the identifica-
tion number. In the adjusting mode for the identifi-
cation number, the display will show

and the

identification number currently adjusted.

Note:

To exit the adjusting mode without making an

adjustment, press the button SET repeatedly until the
display shows

(“cancel”). The unit will then return to

normal operation.

3) Select the desired number (adjusting range 0 – 99)

with the button “down”

(5) or the button “up”

(7).

4) Confirm the selection with the button SET.

(“store”) will be shortly displayed and the unit will go
to normal operation.

5) Then adjust the identification number on the trans-

mitter (

instruction manual of the transmitter).

6.1.3 Lock function

In the factory, the lock function of the unit has been
deactivated. When the lock function is activated, the
REMOSET function (

chapter 6.2) will not be avail-

able. Furthermore, it will not be possible to switch off
the receiver: when the power switch (8) is set to OFF,
the display will show

(“lock on”).

Activating the lock

1) Keep the button SET (6) pressed for approx. 2 sec-

onds to call the group adjusting mode (“G” will flash
on the display).

2) In the group adjusting mode, press the button SET

three times to go to the adjusting mode for the lock
function. The display will show

(“lock off”).

Note concerning operation of several wireless trans-
mission systems

If several wireless transmission systems are used at the
same time, the transmission frequencies of the individual
systems should be carefully matched to one another to pre-
vent interference. It will be possible, for example, to select
the preset channels within one of the four groups.
