Opening the Drawer Manually
Do the following if an error occurs while the drawer is closed and you need to remove a plate.
Press
Drawer
.
If the drawer does not open after you press Drawer, then turn off the power to the
instrument and then on again.
If the drawer remains closed after you cycle the power, and the incubator is on, then
turn off the incubator.
If the drawer still remains closed, power off the instrument, unplug the power cord and
then at the groove in the upper left side wall of the drawer, try to use a blunt, flat object,
such as a spatula, to open the door. With your index finger, pull the plate drawer out of
the instrument (do not force the drawer) and remove the plate. This action will not harm
the instrument, but should only be taken if the first two options fail to open the drawer.
If you are still unable to open the drawer, contact your local Molecular Devices
representative.
