Code No. 41 Throttle solenoid valve system

Probable cause

Range of Check

Ignition switch: OFF

Barometric pressure is 95.4 kPa or over (equivalent to an altitude of 500 m).

Set Conditions

Boost pressure sensor output does not change.

Throttle solenoid valve inoperative

Throttle solenoid valve open circuit, short circuit, or

connector contact inoperative

Engine-ECU inoperative

Malfunction of throttle actuator

Check and repair the harness between the

engine-ECU and the solenoid valve

connector.

Check the trouble symptoms.

Check the following connector:

C-126

Repair

Check and repair the harness between the

control relay and the solenoid valve

connector.

Check the trouble symptoms.

Measure at A-128 throttle solenoid valve

connector

Disconnect the connector and measure at

the harness side.

Voltage between 2 and the earth

(Ignition switch: ON)

OK:

System voltage

Replace

Throttle actuator check
