3 UPGRADING YOUR SYSTEM
This chapter explains how to add the following items to your system:

Processor, memory or expansion cards.
♦
Memory modules to an existing memory card.
♦
Additional hard disks.
Important Note
Only authorized engineers may have access to the electronics chamber of the server,
on the opposite side from the hard disk chamber. The electronics chamber houses the
motherboard and expansion slots.
Gaining Access to the Machine Interior
To gain access to the interior of the machine, you must remove the side
panels. The following illustration shows the securing screws and key lock
which are present on each side panel:
