Spark Arrester Service
Clean spark arrester every 50 hours of operation.
WARNING
Hot engine parts can cause severe burns. Allow engine to stop and cool before
servicing spark arrester.

Remove the spark arrester.
l
Take the spark arrester out of the muffler and then clean by brushing it.
l
Reinstall the spark arrester.
Cutter Cord Service
WARNING
The cord cutter of the guard assembly is sharp and can cause serious injury.
Put the protective tape on the cord cutter when servicing the cutting head.

Locate arrows on spool(2)
l
Turn spool until arrows are
over the eyelets (2). Spool is in the up position
l
Cut 2 10’ (3m) length of line
l
Insert one line into each eyelet
l
To re-wind line back into the head, first place right hand on bottom of the trimmer head and hold trimmer head body stationary. Place left hand on
knob and twist clockwise.Cut 2 10’ (3m) length of line
l
Twist knob until the line length (free end) retracts and just reaches the line cutter on the debris shield.
WARNING
Be sure Knob is tightly secured to trimmer head
