NOTE
○ If it is necessary to restart the engine, do so one minute later after the engine has been shut
off.
When restarting warmed engine
l
Set the lift up lever to the "RUNNING" (engine idle speed) position and then pull the recoil
starter grip.
l If the engine does not start, move the lift up lever to the "Starting" position.
l Pull the recoil starter grip slowly to engine the starter, then give a short, quick pull.
Idling speed
l If the cutting blade moves when the engine is running at the idle speed, turn the idle screw
(4) counterclockwise to decrease the engine idle speed.
l If the engine does not run the idle speed, it may be changed too low, turn the idle screw
clockwise to increase the engine idle speed. The stable idle speed is about 3000 r/min (rpm).
Fuel adjustment
l The carburetor has been adjusted to the optimum fuel supply at the factory. Don't reset the
carburetor setting.

○ If adjustment is needed, it performed by your authorized MITOX® PRO dealer.
Operation
l Hold the throttle lever and the set lever while operating the brushcutter.
Stopping the Engine
Ordinary stop
CAUTION
Suddenly stopping from high-­speed operation can cause engine damage.
Reduce engine speed to idle for one minute before shutting engine off after
high-­speed, full-­load operation.
l Release the throttle lever (1) and keep the engine running at idle speed for about one
minute.
l Turn the engine switch (2) to the "O" (STOP) position.
Emergency Stop
l Turn the engine switch to the "O" (STOP) position.
l Release the throttle lever.
Warming Up
l After allowing a several-­minute warming-­up period, pull and release the throttle lever (3) to
run the engine at the idling speed.
CAUTION
Allow sufficient warm-­up time to prevent engine damage.
The brushcutter should be run at idle speed for a few minutes to allow it to warm up
before applying a load. This will allow oil to reach all engine parts, and allow piston
clearance to reach design specifications.
l
If the cutting head rotates when the engine is running at idle speed, adjust the engine idle
speed with the idle screw (4).
Idling speed is about 3000 r/min (rpm).
