Customizing Your Device
CAUTION:
Incorrect settings may cause your system to malfunction. Make sure that
you fully understand the function of a certain item before any adjustment.
You can customize the settings of the device to your own preferences. Tap
Settings
. You can tap any of the icons on the
Personal
,
System
or
Connections
tabs for the options. The items you can customize are described
as follows:
Item
Description
Buttons
To assigns programs to hardware buttons and
set the repeat rate of the up/down control.
Input
To set up items related to the input methods
and voice recording format.
Lock
To set a password for security. (See “Locking
the Device” in section 2.12 for more
information.)
Menus
To customize what appears on the Start menu.
MSN Options
To manage your MSN password settings.
Owner
Information
To enter your personal information.
Phone
To customize the phone function. (See
section 3.11 for more information.)
Sounds &
Notifications
To set the conditions and types of the sounds,
system volume and ways of notifications.
Today
To select the information you want displayed
on the Today screen and to select a desired
theme for the background.
Personal
Voice Speed Dial
To record voice tags so that you can dial a
phone number or start a program simply by
pronouncing the voice tag that has been
attached to it.
