2 Overview

2.1 General information

These operating instructions describe the coniguration and operation of the "Phase”

application.
For installation, basic coniguration, and calibration of the device, please refer to the

PR 5900 installation manual and the operating instructions.

2.2 Equipment supplied

2.2.1

Components

The Phase product consists of the following components:

Maxxis 5 basic unit with "BIOS," "irmware" and "Phase" including licenses for

P and OPC server

license for dosing E9 (PR 5900/93)

Manuals in PDF format on CD-ROM

The "Phase" application requires installation of the following programs in the device:

BIOS

Firmware

Application "Phase"

PR 1721/5x or PR 1721/7x ieldbus cards are

not

supported.

The digital load cells (of type Pendeo) are connected over a maximum of 2 serial

RS-485 interfaces and a digital connection counter.
