MW150 & MW151 Bench Meters
Preparation Procedure
Remove the electrode protective cap. Do not be alarmed if salt deposits are present, this
is normal. Rinse the electrode with water.
Shake the electrode gently, as you would do with a clinical thermometer, to eliminate any
air bubbles inside the glass bulb.
If the glass bulb and/or junction are dry, soak the electrode in
MA9016
Cleaning solution
for a minimum of 30 minutes. For refillable electrodes, if the refill solution (electrolyte)
has dropped more than 2½ cm (1”) below the fill hole, add the appropriate electrolyte
solution.
Rinse with water and calibrate before using. To ensure a quick response and to avoid
cross-contamination of the samples, rinse the electrode tip with the solution to be tested
before taking any measurements.
