How the cooker hood works
29
The cooker hood can be operated in
one of the following ways:
Extraction mode
The air is drawn in and cleaned by the
grease filter and directed outside.
Recirculation mode
(DUU 1000(-1) conversion kit required)
The air is drawn in and cleaned by the
grease filter. The air is then directed into
the recirculation box where it is also
cleaned by the charcoal filters. The
cleaned air is then recirculated back
into the kitchen.
Operating hours counter
The number of hours that the cooker
hood has been used for is stored in
memory.
When the grease filter symbol
or the
charcoal filter symbol
, lights up, the
operating hours counters are signalling
that the filters need to be cleaned or
changed. Further information about
cleaning and changing the filters and
resetting the operating hours counter
can be found under “Cleaning and
care”.
The instruction manual supplied with
the recirculation box states that the
operating hours counter for the char-
coal filter needs to be activated. This
is not necessary here.
The charcoal filter system
also ap-
pears when the appliance is operated
using extraction mode.
