If with time discolouration or rust spots
appear on instruments, especially at
joints, a special neutralising agent can
be used (contact Miele Professional for
advice if necessary).
Neutralising agent (pH-level: acidic)
neutralises residues of alkaline cleaning
agents on the surface of instruments
and utensils.
It is automatically dispensed in the
Rinse following the Thermal disinfection
or Cleaning cycle of a programme.
The relevent programme (see
"Programme Chart" - DOS 3) can not be
started until the dispensing system has
been vented.
(This function can only be cancelled by
a Miele Service Engineer).
^
Place the red container with neutral-
ising agent on the floor next to the
machine or in an adjoining cupboard.
When the "Add neutralising agent" indi-
cator light
w
on the control panel lights
up:
^
Fill the container (red) with neutralis-
ing agent, or change it for a new con-
tainer, and then:
^
Insert the siphon tube into the con-
tainer (observe the colour code).
Please remember to fill the container in
good time, it should not be allowed to
empty completely.
Setting the dosage and venting the
dispensing system
See "Programming special functions"
for setting the dosage amount and
venting the dispensing system
Important:
If the cleaning agent being used is
mildly alkaline you will need to use a
phosphoric acid based neutralising
agent.
If using a neutral enzyme based liquid
cleaning agent you will need to use a
citric acid based neutralising agent.
