Cleaning and care

Do 

not

 treat the drip tray grille, back

and frame of the Ice/Water dispenser
with
– Stainless steel cleaning agent: 
This will damage the finish.
– Miele conditioning agents for
stainless steel: 
This will cause noticeable smearing.

Do not clean the drip tray grille of the
Ice/Water dispenser in the
dishwasher. 
This would damage the surface.
Do not attach any magnets. The
surface is easily scratched.

Do not use sticky notes, transparent
adhesive tape, masking tape or other
types of adhesive on the finished
surface. These damage the finish,
causing it to lose its dirt-repellent
protective coating.

Before cleaning the appliance

Switch the appliance off by pressing
the On/Off switch.

Disconnect the appliance from the
power supply. Switch off at the wall
and withdraw the plug from the
socket, or switch off the mains circuit
breaker.

Take any food out of the appliance
and store it in a cool place.

Take out all other removable parts for
cleaning (see “Adjusting the interior
fittings”).
