Possible reasons for increased levels of foaming

Possible cause and remedy
Excessive foaming
An unsuitable detergent was used.
Only use detergent formulated for use in commercial
washing machines. Domestic laundry detergent is not
suitable.
Excess detergent was used.
Dispense detergent following the instructions on the
packaging and in accordance with local water hardness
levels.
You have used a detergent which creates too much foam.
Use a lower foaming detergent or contact your detergent
application specialist.
The water used was very soft.
In areas with hardness level 1 dispense less detergent in
accordance with the detergent manufacturer's
instructions.
The laundry is only lightly soiled.
For lightly soiled laundry, dispense less detergent in
accordance with the detergent manufacturer's
instructions.
There are residues left on the laundry, e.g. detergent.
Run an additional pre-wash without detergent and
without selecting a temperature. Laundry which has
been pre-treated before washing must be thoroughly
rinsed before running a wash programme.
The load is small.
Reduce the amount of detergent accordingly.
The drum spin speed was too high during the wash.
Reduce the drum speed and wash rhythm.
